PhD. Recipients receive $2000 in senior year and up to $30,000 of support for two years of graduate study.

Nominee must be a U.S. citizen currently receiving financial aid. Applicants should have a "superior strength of character, intellectual ability and sense of purpose." Seventeen awarded nationally.

The deadline for receipt of application material is
November 1 for the winter program, March 1 for the summer program, and
June 1 for the fall
program. Candidates may apply to all three programs
concurrently.

Christine Mirzayan Science& Technology Fellowship of the National Academies

The Christine Mirzayan Science & Technology Policy Graduate Fellowship Program of the National Academies is designed to engage graduate science, engineering, medical, veterinary, business, and law students in the analysis that informs the creation of science and technology policy and to familiarize them with the interactions of science, technology, and government.As a result, students develop essential skills different from those attained in academia and make the transition from being a graduate student to a professional.

Current graduate students and postdocs or scholars
who have completed
graduate studies or postdoctoral research within the last 5 years are eligible to apply.

 

Presidential Management Fellows

To be eligible for placement with a Federal agency through the Presidential Management Fellows Program applicants must successfully defend and complete any required thesis or dissertation.
