Funds two years of study in a degree program at the University of Oxford. |
Rhodes scholarships are available to nationals of 19 countries including the U.S. Fields unrestricted. U.S. citizens must be no older than 24 at the time of application. |

Fulbright Grant |
U.S. government grants for one year of study in one of over 100 countries. |
U.S. citizen. Open to graduating seniors and graduate students. |

Marshall Scholarship |
For two years of study in a degree program at any British university. |
U.S. citizen. Apply within two years of graduation from undergraduate college. 3.7 GPA after freshman year. Fields unrestricted. |

November 10 |
Truman Scholarships |
supports senior year and first two years of graduate study for students committed to a career in public service and propose graduate study in areas specifically targeted toward this goal. |
Selections are made on the basis of leadership potential, high academic achievement, strong faculty recommendations and prospects for success in graduate school. Two awards from each state. U.S. citizen |

Churchill Scholarship
|
One year of graduate study in engineering, mathematics or science at Churchill College, Cambridge University. |
U.S. citizen. Age 19-26. GRE scores are required. |

Luce Scholars Program |
One year internships in Asia for individuals in academic and professional fields who would not, during the course of their careers, expect to go to Asia. |
U.S. citizen. Students majoring in Asian studies or in international relations with a concentration in Asia are ineligible. Must be no older than 29 at the time of application. |

Thouron Award |
One or two years of funding for a degree program at any British university. Fields unrestricted. |

Applications are accepted in the senior year or first year of graduate study. U.S. citizen. |

Goldwater Scholarships |
For graduate study in math or science fields within the U.S. Award covers tuition and fees for one year if the student is nominated as a junior and two years is nominated as a sophomore. |
Sophomore or junior students majoring in science or engineering. U.S. citizen or resident alien. |

Mellon Fellowship |
One year fellowship in the humanities, including a stipend and payment of tuition and fees for graduate school. |
Seniors or recent graduates eligible. No prior graduate work. U.S. citizen or permanent resident. GRE scores required with application. |

Morris K. Udall Scholarship Program |
Juniors are eligible for one year of funding; sophomores can be nominated for a second year of funding. The award is up to $5000. |
For sophomores and juniors interested in environmental public policy, or native americans interested in tribal issues. |

Beinecke Scholarship Program |
PhD. Recipients receive $2000 in senior year and up to $30,000 of support for two years of graduate study. |
Nominee must be a U.S. citizen currently receiving financial aid. Applicants should have a "superior strength of character, intellectual ability and sense of purpose." Seventeen awarded nationally. |

The Christine Mirzayan Science & Technology Policy Graduate Fellowship Program of the National Academies is designed to engage graduate science, engineering, medical, veterinary, business, and law students in the analysis that informs the creation of science and technology policy and to familiarize them with the interactions of science, technology, and government.As a result, students develop essential skills different from those attained in academia and make the transition from being a graduate student to a professional. |
